The Ministry of Health has renewed the pre-hospital emergency medical assistance and care flowcharts for ambulance and emergency care technicians and emergency medical technicians, publishing the new working procedures and principles in the Official Gazette.
New Regulation Published in the Official Gazette
The Communiqué on Amending the Communiqué on the Working Procedures and Principles of Ambulance and Emergency Care Technicians and Emergency Medical Technicians, prepared by the Ministry of Health, has been published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.
Main Headings of Flowcharts
The Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance and Care Flowcharts consist of three main sections in total: Adult Algorithms, Birth and Newborn Algorithms, and Pediatric Algorithms, featuring 78 sub-categories in the study.
Newly Added Intervention Methods
With the new regulation, intervention methods for specific emergencies, approaches to agitated patients, diabetes, allergic reactions, and the BEFAST screening method have found a place in the communiqué.

The updated guide also provides detailed regulations on critical emergency topics such as bites and stings, poisonings, Crush Syndrome, Start Triage, and Jump Start Triage.
