DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan Calls for Invitation of Mazlum Abdi and İlham Ahmed

Speaking after her party's Central Executive Board meeting, DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan stated that Syrian Democratic Forces Commander Mazlum Abdi and İlham Ahmed should be invited to Turkey to establish face-to-face dialogue.

DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan held a press conference at the headquarters following her party's Central Executive Board meeting to evaluate current events.

Pointing out that the process should not be reduced to bureaucratic procedures, Doğan emphasized the importance of socializing the demand for peace and democracy.

Developments in Syria and SDF Emphasis

Evaluating recent developments in Syria, Doğan expressed that they attach importance to steps aimed at making the Syrian Democratic Forces a part of the Syrian army.

Touching upon discussions regarding Mazlum Abdi and İlham Ahmed coming to Turkey, Doğan reiterated that these figures should be invited through an official call.

Preparation for the Grand Transformation Congress

Also touching upon party activities during the press conference, Ayşegül Doğan announced that the DEM Party will hold a congress on September 6 at the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center in Ankara.

It was stated that the announced congress aims to make preparations for the grand transformation congress.

İmraly Delegation and Contact Discussions

Answering journalists' questions, Doğan addressed claims regarding İmralı Delegation meetings and the situation of Abdullah Öcalan.

She argued that different segments of society should be able to establish direct contact with Abdullah Öcalan.
