National Assembly Digital Transformation Committee Holds First Meeting

Do Van Chien, National Assembly Vice Chairman and Head of the Steering Committee for Science, Technology Development, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, chaired the committee's first meeting to discuss key processes and task distribution related to building a digital National Assembly.

First Meeting of the Steering Committee

The meeting, held on the afternoon of August 25 at the National Assembly building, was chaired by Steering Committee Head and Politburo member Do Van Chien. Committee deputy heads and members of the party central committee also attended the session.

Restructuring and Process

This meeting marked the first session following the new configuration formed by the merger of two committees. It was emphasized at the meeting that the creation of a digital parliament must strictly adhere to core business processes.

Digital National Assembly Goals

It was stated that development efforts should be reviewed for appropriateness and consistency, and also integrated with people's councils at the provincial and district levels.

Work Program and Task Distribution

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Committee for Science, Technology, and Environment, Vice Chairman Tran Van Khai presented information on the 2026 work program and the 100-day intensive plan aimed at eliminating bottlenecks. Do Van Chien assigned specific tasks at the conclusion of the meeting.
