TÜBİTAK Showcases Its Developed Technologies and Workshops at Konya Science Festival
At the 11th Konya Science Festival, where TÜBİTAK took part with its various research centers and institutes, more than 3,500 participants attended hands-on workshops while national defense and space technologies were exhibited.
Organized for the 11th time this year by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Konya Science Center, the Konya Science Festival hosted approximately 400,000 visitors. Participating in the event with its centers and institutes, TÜBİTAK brought its domestically developed technologies, exhibitions, and interactive workshops together with science enthusiasts over four days.
Intensive Activity Program from TÜBİTAK Institutes
As part of the festival, the TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, BİTO, MAM, SAGE, RUTE, and TÜBİTAK UZAY institutes set up stands and presented the technologies and products they developed to visitors. Interactive applications and science shows were held throughout the four-day event.
Thousands of Participants Gathered at Hands-on Workshops
More than 3,500 participants took part in the organized workshops, engaging in applications that enhanced their problem-solving and engineering skills. Visitors gained experience in numerous different workshops such as Wind Energy Powered House, DNA Molecule, Rocket Design, and Satellite Model.
In addition, interactive quiz competitions were held at the Bilim Genç stand, while Bilim Çocuk, Meraklı Minik, and Bilim Teknik magazines as well as science books were examined in the Popular Science Publications area.
Domestic Space and Defense Technologies Exhibited
Technological products produced by the centers were also showcased at the TÜBİTAK stands. Defense industry munitions were featured in the TÜBİTAK SAGE area, while models of TÜRKSAT 6A, İMECE, and the Lunar Spacecraft were introduced in the TÜBİTAK UZAY section.
