US-based technology company Nvidia announced that in the second quarter of its fiscal year 2027 ending July 26, its revenue grew 106 percent year-on-year to $96.2 billion, while its net profit rose 126 percent to $59.7 billion.

Financial Indicators and Profitability Rates

In the three-month period ending July 26, Nvidia's revenue rose 106 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $96.2 billion. Increasing its revenue by 18 percent compared to the previous quarter, the company had generated $46.7 billion in revenue in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

In the period in question, the company's net profit increased by 126 percent from $26.4 billion to $59.7 billion. Earnings per share rose from $1.08 to $2.46, surpassing market expectations.

Data Center Revenue and Shareholder Returns

In a period where 16 percent of total revenue was derived from a single direct customer, revenue from data centers rose 117 percent annually to reach $89 billion. The company announced its revenue expectation for the current quarter as $108 billion.

Having returned approximately $26 billion to shareholders through share buybacks and cash dividends, Nvidia has approximately $99 billion remaining under its share repurchase authorization. It was reported that a cash dividend payment of $0.25 per share will be made on October 1.

AI Demand and CEO Jensen Huang's Assessment

Nvidia Founder and CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that tokens generated by artificial intelligence have gained an efficient and profitable structure, stating that today computing power translates to revenue. Huang noted that AI infrastructure deployments continue with strong momentum on a global scale.
