Google Releases Update for Gemini API Managed Agents
Google DeepMind has updated its Gemini API Managed Agents platform with the Gemini 3.6 Flash model, new security hooks, and budget control mechanisms.
Google DeepMind has announced a comprehensive update to its Gemini API Managed Agents system, which features autonomous reasoning and code execution capabilities.
As part of the update, Gemini 3.6 Flash has been set as the default model for the 'antigravity-preview-05-2026' agent. Newly added environment hooks allow developers to run custom scripts before or after tool calls. This feature is designed to support security audits, code validation, and automated linting processes.
The 'max_total_tokens' budget control added to the platform aims to prevent excessive token consumption, while scheduled triggers simplify the management of repetitive tasks. Additionally, free-tier access has been expanded to allow more developers to reach the system. AI-based investment bank Offdeal stated that it is using this new hook structure in its automated visual verification processes.
