AI-powered personalization feature coming to Google Discover feed
Google is rolling out a new AI feature that allows users to customize their Discover feeds by defining their preferences through a chat interface.
Google is adding a new AI-based feature to the Google app in the coming days that will allow users to more precisely curate their Discover feed according to their interests.
Users will be able to define the types of content they want to see through a chat interface accessible by clicking the three-dot menu in the Discover feed. The AI will analyze these preferences to automatically update the feed and store these choices for future visits.
The chat interface will confirm the user's selections and list which content types will be prioritized. Users will be able to make additional adjustments to these suggestions before pressing the 'Refresh feed' button.
Google also announced personalized daily audio summaries for the Google News app and an interactive 'Preferred Sources' button that publishers can integrate into their own sites.
