Ali Ulvi Kurucu, one of the prominent scholars raised by Turkey in recent times, who began his pursuit of knowledge by learning the Holy Quran at a young age and left behind numerous works as a poet, writer, and hafiz, was remembered in a meaningful event held in Istanbul.

Within the scope of the "Yad-ı Cemil" events organized by the Istanbul Branch of the Writers' Union of Turkey, the "Ali Ulvi Kurucu Special Program" was organized at the Kızlarağası Mehmed Ağa Madrasah in Sultanahmet.
Development of the Program and Meaningful Moments
Starting with the recitation of the Holy Quran, hymns, and prayers, the program shared excerpts from the life of the late poet and writer with the attendees.
Speaking at the program, Sare Kurucu, the daughter of Ali Ulvi Kurucu, expressed about her father and mother, "My father was an airplane, but my mother was the wings. If my mother hadn't been the wings, that airplane couldn't have flown."
