Within the scope of cultural and arts events to be held in Istanbul this week, concerts, theater plays, important exhibitions and open-air cinema screenings are meeting with art lovers.
Theater Plays
The play "Of Mice and Men", adapted from John Steinbeck's work, will meet audiences at Bakırköy Boutique Stage on September 5 and 7.
Eyfel Sema Çoruh will stage her one-woman performance of "Çalıkuşu" at Taksim İstiklal Stage on September 2.
The play "The Man with the Flower in His Mouth", directed by and starring Metin Zakoğlu, can be watched tomorrow, and on September 5 and 6 at Cafe Theatre Koşuyolu.
Concerts and Music Events
The instrumental jazz band KAOS will perform at the AKM Multi-Purpose Hall on September 2 within the scope of the Türk Telekom Prime AKM Summer Concerts.
Yıldız Tilbe will take the stage at Ataköy Marina Open Air Stage on September 2, and the Fazıl Say Jazz Quintet will perform at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theater on September 2 and 3.
Istanbul West Side Collective will meet music lovers in the City Sounds series at Zorlu PSM on September 4, and the alternative rock band Gece and the band Ayna will meet them on September 5.
Exhibitions to Visit
The exhibition "Contact", focusing on the architectural heritage of Karaköy Palas, can be visited at Karaköy Palas until October 1.
Japanese artist Yoko Ono's selection "Inner Voice and Inner Structure" awaits art lovers at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum until December 27.

The movie "Inception", directed by Christopher Nolan, will be presented to audiences at AKM Open-Air Cinema on September 5.
The movie "Sense and Sensibility", adapted from Jane Austen's novel, will meet cinema lovers at Zorlu PSM Vestel Amphitheatre on September 6.
