Economic management and market growth expectations for the second quarter of 2026
According to recent survey results, the Turkish economy is projected to record an annual growth rate of 2.7 percent in the second quarter of 2026.
Based on the results of an economic survey conducted with market representatives and institutions, the Turkish economy is projected to grow by 1 percent periodically and 2.7 percent annually in the second quarter of 2026.
Survey Participation and Median Forecasts
A total of 12 different institutions participated in the growth survey organized by Bloomberg HT. The median forecasts of the participants displayed a parallel trend similar to the data and expectations announced in the first quarter of the year.
Expectations for the Second Quarter of the Year
According to the forecasts of economists and institutional representatives, the periodic median growth expectation for the second quarter of 2026 was shaped at the level of 1 percent. The annual median growth forecast was recorded as 2.7 percent.
Lowest and Highest Forecast Ranges
For the second-quarter periodic growth, the lowest forecast pointed to a contraction of 0.2 percent, while the highest projection was announced as 1.4 percent growth. On an annual basis, the lowest forecast was 1.4 percent and the highest forecast was 3.1 percent.
Full-Year and Future Period Projections
The growth rate projected for the whole of 2026 was determined as an average of 3.2 percent, with the lowest forecast for this period at 2.9 percent and the highest forecast at 3.3 percent. The expectation for 2027 was formed at an average level of 4.25 percent.
