New Medicines Added to the Social Security Institution Reimbursement List

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that with the new communiqué published in the Official Gazette, three drugs used in the treatment of cancer and Hemophilia B patients have been included in the Social Security Institution reimbursement list.

Drugs Added to the Reimbursement List

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated in a social media post that the Communiqué on Amending the Social Security Institution Health Implementation Communiqué has been published in the Official Gazette.

Within the framework of this regulation, a total of three drugs, including two Hemophilia B drugs and one cancer drug, some of which are domestically produced, have been included in the reimbursement coverage.

Increase in Magistral Drugs and Pediatric Surgery

Emphasizing that they continue to facilitate citizens' access to healthcare services, Minister Işıkhan stated that the amount paid by the institution for magistral drugs produced in pharmacies has been increased by 40 percent.

Additionally, within the scope of the new regulations, the scope of medical procedures applied in the field of pediatric surgery has been expanded.

Innovations in the Bone Marrow Transplantation Process

It was reported that significant improvements have been implemented in bone marrow transplantation processes, and screening processes to find suitable donors for patients awaiting transplantation have been updated.

In line with these updates, new regulations regarding treatment and drug applications were made to make the process more effective.
