Air travel requirement removed for visa application for Syrians
Turkey's Embassy in Damascus modified the visa regulations for Syrian citizens, allowing valid visas to be used at land border gates as well.
According to the statement made by Turkey's Embassy in Damascus, the air travel requirement for Syrian citizens entering Turkey has been removed, and valid visas are now valid for entries made through all land border gates.
New Announcement from the Damascus Embassy
Turkey's Embassy in Damascus announced an important change regarding the visa regulations applied to Syrian citizens entering Turkey. With the new regulation, the areas of use for visas obtained from foreign representations have been expanded.
Air Travel Requirement Removed
In the official statement, it was reported that the previously mandatory air travel requirement has been completely lifted. Thus, the transportation alternatives for visa holders have been increased.
Land Border Gates Opened for Use
Valid visas obtained from Turkey's foreign representations have been updated to be valid not only at air border gates, but also for entries made through all land border gates.
Visa Obligation Continues
This new regulation does not mean that the visa obligation has been completely lifted. The change covers Syrian citizens who hold a valid visa obtained from foreign representations being able to use land border gates.
