Google Introduces Travel Planning and Hotel Booking Features in AI Mode
Aiming to function as a travel agent through artificial intelligence, Google has started offering ticket price tracking and point-based travel cost calculation features in more than 180 countries.
Google announced that it has added travel planning features such as tracking flight ticket prices, booking hotels, and calculating miles or points to its conversational search tool AI Mode.
Flight Ticket Price Tracking and Route Planning
By specifying their flight dates and routes through AI Mode, users can view up-to-date options from more than 300 airlines and travel sites.
Users who want to wait for prices to drop can request ticket tracking to receive email notifications for price changes on specified dates. This feature has been made available in more than 180 countries.
Hotel Booking and Point-Supported Calculation
On the hotel booking side, AI Mode presents hotel options, reviews, and basic information together based on travel details and preferences. While payments are completed via Google Pay, customer service is directly handled by hotel chains and partner platforms.
Partners such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, and Marriott are included in hotel bookings, which have begun being offered in English in the US. Additionally, the ability to view flight and hotel costs with points or miles has been made available globally.
