3 new ways to plan and book travel in Search

Google has rolled out three major updates for AI Mode in Search to enable users to plan and book their travels more seamlessly. The new features offer a wide range of conveniences, from flight price tracking to mile point calculations and direct booking options.

Global Price Tracking and Email Notifications

Google Flights' price tracking feature is now integrated directly into AI Mode. Users can set up email notifications to monitor changes in flight prices while chatting with the AI. This feature has been rolled out in more than 180 countries and regions.

Viewing Mile and Point Rates

AI Mode can now also display flight and hotel prices worldwide in miles or points. This globally rolled-out feature initially launched in partnership with Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

In the future, new partners such as Accor, Flying Blue, Hyatt, LATAM Airlines, and Lufthansa Group are planned to be included in this system.

Direct Hotel Booking in the US

Google offers users in the US the ability to book hotels directly through AI Mode in English. Users can complete their transactions by clicking the 'Continue on Google' option next to integrated partners such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, and Marriott.

While booking transactions are securely completed using Google Pay, the respective partner organization is considered the merchant of record where the payment is made.
