New Regulations on Medicines and Treatment Services from the Ministry of Health
While magistral drug support has been increased, some critical drugs and difficult surgical procedures have been added to the reimbursement list.
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced new regulations strengthening the health system in a statement on social media, reporting that magistral drug support has been increased and new drugs have been included in the reimbursement scope.
Magistral Drug Support Increased
It was announced that a 40 percent increase has been made in the support rate provided for magistral drugs prepared in pharmacies.
Drugs Included in the Reimbursement Scope
With the new regulation, 2 hemophilia B and 1 cancer drug were officially included in the reimbursement scope.
New Authority for Family Physicians
Within the scope of steps in the health system, it was stated that family physicians were granted the authority to prescribe Leflunomide.
Enteral Nutrition Durations Extended
Report durations for enteral nutrition products used in the treatment of neurological patients were extended to 1 year.
Payment Support for Surgical Procedures
High-difficulty surgical procedures performed by the pediatric surgery branch were also included in the scope of payment.
