Fenerbahçe Athletes Compete in Three Disciplines at the Mediterranean Games
Fenerbahçe athletes competed in table tennis, men's volleyball, and sailing at the Mediterranean Games held in Taranto, Italy.
As the ninth day of the Mediterranean Games organized in Taranto, Italy, came to a close, Fenerbahçe athletes participated in important competitions in table tennis, men's volleyball, and sailing.
Table Tennis Matches
Our National Women's Table Tennis Team, consisting of Fenerbahçe athletes Sibel Altınkaya and Ece Haraç along with Özge Yılmaz and Simay Kulakçeken, lost 3-2 to Italy in the semi-finals and advanced to the bronze medal match. Our national team completed the tournament by being defeated 3-0 by Serbia in the bronze medal match.
Men's Volleyball Match
Our National Men's Volleyball Team, which includes Fenerbahçe volleyball player Muhammed Kaya in its squad, managed to defeat its opponent Spain 3-1 in the group match and booked its place in the semi-finals.
Sailing Race Results
In the men's IQ Foil category, Fenerbahçe sailor Onur Cavit Biriz finished the race in 4th place, while Artun Şenol was unable to finish the competition. In the men's ILCA 7, Berkay Abay finished the third race in 3rd place and the fourth race in 18th place. In the women's ILCA 6, Ece Tüzün completed the races in 13th place.
