The Turkish Football Federation shared the change made to the foreign player rule for the new season with the public via its official website.

In the statement made by the federation, it was stated that changes were made to the 2026-2027 Season Ziraat Turkish Cup Competitions Status.

Status of Super League Clubs

According to the regulation, a maximum of 14 foreign players can be written on the match sheet by Trendyol Super League clubs.

Clubs will be able to play their foreign players or those with Turkish National Team eligibility whom they could not include in the A team list under specified conditions.

Conditions for 1st League Clubs

Trendyol 1st League clubs will be able to have a maximum of 6 foreign players on the field in the active squad at the same time.

Additionally, these teams will have the right to write a maximum of 8 foreign players on the match sheet.

Scope of the Provisional Article

The published provisional article covers the football players in the squads of Trendyol Super League and Trendyol 1st League clubs as of August 26, 2026.

This rule will be valid for players whose contracts with their clubs are ongoing on the said date.
