Great Unity Party Chairman Mustafa Destici expressed that they have always desired for Turkey to rid itself of the scourge of terrorism and break free from the shackles on its feet.

He stated that the Republic of Turkey, just as it suppressed rebellions in past centuries, has also defeated the PKK, with its ringleader captured and put in prison, and that there are no armed organization members left within the country.

Unsolved Murders

He emphasized that Akyn Gürlek becoming the Minister of Justice and the steps taken in consultation with relevant institutions have created a great wave of excitement in society.

He noted that efforts are underway to clarify the murders of Uğur Mumcu, Behçet Oktay, and Gülistan Doku, and that the activities carried out by the established commissions under the supervision of the Minister of Justice are commendable.

He expressed that the issue that concerns their community the most is the clarification of the martyrdom processes of the martyred leader Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and those accompanying him.

He conveyed that this matter has been handled by the Ministry of Justice as an unsolved crime and has begun to be investigated by the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Commission.

He stated that the matter has begun to be investigated seriously by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the first wave of operations has been carried out.

The Bond Between Turks and Kurds

He stated that there will be no negotiation with a terrorist, that the terrorist organization cannot be trusted, and that they have defended this stance from the very beginning.

He emphasized that they made the strongest objection to attempts to create a perception as if there were a war between Turks and Kurds, that they have never fought at any period in history and that they are blood brothers.
