Vietnam and China Share Legislative Experience in Science and Technology
Vietnam and China delegations met online to share experiences in legal regulation and policy in high-tech fields such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Nguyen Thanh Hai, Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, and Luo Shugang, Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the National People's Congress of China, discussed cooperation in science, technology, and digital transformation during a virtual meeting held on August 25, 2026.
Legislative Cooperation and Strategic Partnership
The committee chairs of the two countries emphasized the goal of further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China during their virtual meeting.
Within the scope of the meeting, mutual experiences were exchanged on the improvement of legal systems and policy design processes in the fields of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, health, and education.
Joint Steps in Emerging Technologies
During the meeting, Nguyen Thanh Hai proposed holding regular meetings and encouraging joint research projects in innovative fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor technologies, and quantum computing.
The Chinese side expressed support for the proposals and underlined the need to continuously develop cooperation between the two legislative bodies.
