AI startup generates permit-ready plans in minutes
Blueprints AI has introduced its second-generation software that converts two-dimensional drawings or PDF files into architectural projects compliant with local regulations.
Founded by Al Dram and Coco Cao, the startup Blueprints AI is showcasing its artificial intelligence software at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, which quickly turns 2D drawings and PDFs into ready-to-approve architectural construction projects.
AI-Powered Architectural Design
Based on Al Dram's university thesis and laid out with the developments in November 2022, Blueprints AI was established to produce architectural projects in a short time.
The Santa Monica-based company takes two-dimensional drafts and PDF documents and converts them into permit-ready projects within minutes.
Founding Process and Team
Officially founded in 2025, the startup's co-founders include architect Al Dram and data scientist Coco Cao, who manages sales and strategy processes.
The company is introducing its innovative technology to participants after being selected for the Startup Battlefield 200 program at the TechCrunch Disrupt event in San Francisco.
Features of the Second-Generation Software
The newly unveiled second-generation software aims to eliminate repetitive drafting tasks, allowing architects to dedicate the majority of their time to design.
Users can generate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior design projects simultaneously using project descriptions or drafts.
Future Plans and Industry Goals
While the initial version of the software is offered at prices ranging from $3,200 to $8,500 per month, the new version is launching publicly this week.
The entrepreneurs particularly emphasize that the technology does not replace licensed architects, as professionals continue to review and stamp the documents.
