AGI Bar, situated in Beijing's Zhongguancun tech hub—known as China's Silicon Valley—allows users to access artificial intelligence models alongside its beverage service. Opened last June, the venue is packed with customers arriving with their laptops.

After placing an order, customers connect to the venue's Wi-Fi network and install the necessary extensions to access free tokens. A glass of the most popular AGI beer is priced at 9.9 yuan.

Operations manager Yang Yuan stated that customers who order a drink and install the extension are provided with free tokens for the artificial intelligence model of their choice. The venue offers more than ten types of beverages.

Thanks to the DeepSeek-V4-Flash model it runs locally, AGI Bar enables customers to benefit from this service free of charge. While manager Yang did not provide a specific figure regarding monthly token consumption, he stated that the costs are covered by the venue owner.

Location Close to Tech Companies and Universities

Named after the concept of artificial general intelligence, the venue's walls are covered with logos and products of major Chinese artificial intelligence companies, including Alibaba Group Holding and Tencent Holdings.

Located close to the offices of leading artificial intelligence companies such as Moonshot AI and DeepSeek, as well as prestigious Tsinghua and Peking universities, the bar has become a meeting point for industry professionals.

Developer Events and Customer Experiences

Undertaking a role different from a classic bar, the venue hosts various events such as coding meetups and offline sessions. Manager Yang stated that a large number of industry workers have visited the venue following the free token campaign.

In a post shared on a restaurant review site in March, a customer described the place as having a futuristic atmosphere and acting as a flawless example where beverages and artificial intelligence merge.
