US President Donald Trump announced in a statement at an event held in Washington that he is strictly opposed to any joint venture with China regarding the development of artificial intelligence technology.

Joint Venture Debate with China

US President Donald Trump completely rejected the possibility of establishing a joint venture with China in artificial intelligence technology. He argued that this move would be equivalent to giving secrets to the country's main economic rival.

Trump recalled that Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the White House last week and that the two countries initiated a new artificial intelligence dialogue.

US Position in the Sector

Trump emphasized that the US is far ahead in the artificial intelligence sector and that he does not want to mix this technology with potential rivals.

The president stated that a potential cooperation would allow China to instantly access information it does not yet know, and he wants to maintain the current leadership.

Meeting with Technology Leaders

Meeting with representatives from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta at the White House, Trump stated that there is a tremendous belief in self-regulation among the participants.

He noted that following the meeting, technology leaders signed a morally binding document to protect against dangers.

Official Document Name Change

Trump signed an executive order stipulating that the term artificial intelligence be changed to 'Super Intelligence' in government documents.

He also added that the appointment of a Super Intelligence Czar is likely in the coming days.
