New Contract from U.S. Air Force for AI-Powered Electronic Warfare Systems

The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has awarded a new SBIR Phase III contract to Pacific Defense and Perceptronics Solutions to advance electronic warfare mission systems.

Scope and Purpose of the Contract

Pacific Defense and its subsidiary Perceptronics Solutions have been awarded a new SBIR Phase III contract by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

This agreement aims to mature and operationalize artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for warfighters in contested electromagnetic spectrum environments.

SOSA Architecture and Integration

The artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities are planned to be integrated into Pacific Defense's product line, which is compatible with the Sensor Open Systems Architecture.

Through this integration, it is aimed to provide much faster and more adaptable responses against emerging threats.

Duration of Work and Activities

Under the twelve-month contract, transmitter tracking algorithms will be matured and electronic attack techniques will be integrated.

Additionally, operational performance will be verified through airborne demonstrations conducted on eligible Air Force platforms.

Centers Where the Work Will Be Conducted

The core work under the project is planned to be carried out at Pacific Defense and Perceptronics facilities.

It is stated that these activities will be conducted at facilities in the cities of Nashua, El Segundo, and Fairfax.
