OpenAI has introduced Intelligent UI, a new GPT-6-powered visual interface developed for ChatGPT aimed at making it easier for users to learn complex topics.

Intelligent UI Feature

The new Intelligent UI interface announced by OpenAI allows significant visual content to be integrated into user chats.

Under this feature, the chatbot offers touchable buttons, customized calculators, and interactive charts instead of plain images.

GPT-6 Model Support

This new visual interface is being offered to users alongside the new GPT-6 model and is being rolled out gradually across various platforms.

During a press briefing, company employees demonstrated the capabilities of Intelligent UI, showcasing diagrams that help in understanding abstract topics.

Goals and Use Cases

Product manager Aarush Selvan stated that the most helpful responses consist of more than just text, aiming to help users get things done more easily.

Examples shown included how an airplane wing works, recipes, bicycle mechanisms, hiking maps, and personal savings calculators.

Availability and Access

The new Intelligent UI feature is fully customizable, and users also have the option to reduce the visual density within responses.

Rolled out globally, this innovation is being delivered to Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise users, as well as those on the free and Go tiers.
