Comprehensive Judicial Investigations and Operations Carried Out Across Turkey
Judicial developments regarding drug trafficking, investment fraud, a fund investigation, and a traffic accident took place within the last 24 hours.
Under the coordination of the Istanbul and Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, large-scale operations and judicial processes were implemented regarding drug trafficking, investment fraud, fund investigations, and traffic accidents.
Drug Operation
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was organized against criminal organizations determined to be trafficking drugs via encrypted communication programs.
Simultaneous operations were initiated to capture 60 suspects connected to the organizations, which were determined to have carried out drug shipments over 10 tons in total, 35 times domestically.
Financial Assets Seized
Within the framework of the investigation, precautionary measures were taken to seize all bank accounts and crypto assets belonging to 163 real persons, along with numerous immovable properties, motor vehicles, and company partnership shares.
Investment Fraud Operation
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that simultaneous operations were carried out in 39 provinces and 159 suspects were detained within the scope of the investment fraud investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Determination of Financial Damage
It was determined by official authorities that the suspects had a monetary traffic exceeding 6 billion 656 million TL and that 23 citizens suffered a total loss of 51 million 407 thousand 966 TL.
Arrest in Fund Investigation
In the fund investigation that shook the capital markets, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa Aksu was arrested and sent to prison, while the assets of himself and his wife were seized by a court decision.
Fatal Traffic Accident Process
In the legal process regarding the tour bus accident on the Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir Highway in which 11 people lost their lives and 27 people were injured, the bus driver and the tow truck driver were arrested.
It was recorded in official documents in the prepared expert report that the bus driver tried to maneuver in reverse on the highway, and the tow truck driver was found at fault for exceeding the speed limit.
