2026-2027 Culture and Arts Season in Küçükçekmece Kicked Off with Yaşar Kemal Exhibition

The 2026-2027 Culture and Arts Season organized by the Küçükçekmece Municipality opened its doors with a special exhibition dedicated to the life and literature of Yaşar Kemal.
New Season Opening Ceremony
The Küçükçekmece Municipality launched the 2026-2027 Culture and Arts Season with a meaningful exhibition program dedicated to Yaşar Kemal, a master name in the literary world. The program took place yesterday evening at 18:00 at the Cennet Culture and Art Center in Cennet Neighborhood.
Intense Participant Profile
A large number of guests attended the opening program held at the Cennet Culture and Art Center. Among the names present at the event were Cezmi Baskın, Levent Ülgen, Adnan Özyalçıner, and Halil İbrahim Özcan.
Exhibition Preparation Process
Intensive work was carried out for the exhibition, which was prepared in a short period of about a month and a half. During the preparation process, the time the author spent in Küçükçekmece and the traces he left behind were meticulously followed.
Statements by Curator Hakan Dağlı
Exhibition Curator Hakan Dağlı stated that the time the author spent in Menekşe made very serious contributions to his art and life. Dağlı emphasized that the traces in this geography were brought back to life through contemporary artists.
Works of Thirty-Six Artists
The exhibition, whose preparations were completed in a short time, featured the works of a total of 36 artists. Among the works were photographs of the author as well as pieces produced specially for this exhibition.
Events and Video Screening
Following the exhibition opening, a video screening regarding the culture and arts events held in the previous season was presented in the theater hall. The program continued after various events.
