Atatürk Cultural Center 2026-2027 Art Season Program Announced
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the new art season program of the Atatürk Cultural Center, which features a rich event calendar.
Announced by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the Atatürk Cultural Center 2026-2027 art season program is preparing to bring world-renowned names and international ensembles together with art lovers in the fields of opera, ballet, theater, and concerts.
New Season Program and Opening Events
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the Atatürk Cultural Center's new art season program to the public. In the season starting in September, the NOVAYA BALLET ensemble will stage "This Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Nutcracker" and "Amadeus" will meet audiences with sold-out shows.
September Concert and Ceremony Calendar
The Istanbul State Opera and Ballet will hold its season opening concert with Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony on September 19. Additionally, the Sadri Alışık Theatre and Cinema Actor Awards ceremony will be held on September 21.
Culture Route Festival and Beyond
Between September 26 and October 4, AKM will host many artists from Turkey and around the world within the scope of the Istanbul Culture Route Festival. Following the festival, concerts by Chromas, Alessandro Safina, Burak Yeter, and Cecilia Krull will meet art lovers.
October Premieres and Special Concerts
In October, Coffee Concerts, Sunday Recitals, the premiere of the State Theatres' play "Smooth", the "Don Quixote" Musical, the Limak Philharmonic Orchestra concert, and the Modern Dance Theater's "Wind Tree" premiere will take place.
Highlights in November and December
In November, Şefika Kutluer, Sergei Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet", the Eifman Ballet ensemble's performance of "Anna Karenina", and the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Orchestra will take the stage. In December, a concert by Lang Lang and a special concert dedicated to Alaeddin Yavaşça will be organized.
Events to Take Place in 2027
In 2027, Okan Bayülgen's "War of the Giants", the theatrical play "The Time Regulation Institute", and the premiere of Giacomo Puccini's opera "Turandot" will take place. Additionally, the AKM Children's Art Festival and various international festivals will be held at AKM.
