Atatürk Cultural Center's 2026-2027 Art Season Program Announced

The 2026-2027 art season program of the Atatürk Cultural Center has been announced. In the new season starting in September, numerous national and international concerts, theater plays, ballet performances, and festivals will meet art lovers.

September Events and Opening Concert

The new season at AKM will kick off on September 11-12 with the Novaya Ballet company staging "This Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Nutcracker" in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Istanbul. While the sold-out play "Amadeus" will meet audiences on September 14, the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet will make its season opening with Beethoven's 9th Symphony on September 19.

On the other hand, the Sadri Alışık Theater and Cinema Actor Awards ceremony will be held at the Atatürk Cultural Center on September 21.

Festival Program and Subsequent Stage Performances

AKM will host local and international names such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Emma Shapplin, and Fire of Anatolia within the scope of the Istanbul Culture Trail Festival, which will take place between September 26 and October 4. Following the festival, concerts by Chromas, Alessandro Safina, Burak Yeter, and Cecilia Krull will be held.

In October, the premiere of the play "Smooth", prepared by the State Theaters to draw attention to Gaza, will take place and the "Don Quixote" Musical will be presented to the appreciation of art lovers.

Upcoming Months and 2027 Season Surprises

In November, the Eifman Ballet Company's performance of "Anna Karenina", adapted from Tolstoy's work, and a concert by the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Orchestra will be staged at AKM. In December, world-renowned pianist Lang Lang will perform.

In 2027, Giacomo Puccini's opera "Turandot" will premiere. Additionally, organizations such as Coffee Concerts, Sunday Recitals, concerts by various choirs, and a children's art festival will continue throughout the season.
