Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's Work Transforms into a Mosaic at Müze Gazhane
Citizens in Istanbul are working on a piece by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu to turn it into a four-meter permanent mosaic under the guidance of artists.
In a collective art project brought to life at Müze Gazhane through the cooperation of IMM Culture and IMM Heritage, citizens are transforming a work by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu into a giant mosaic under the guidance of painter Mustafa Pilevneli and expert artists.
Art Gathering at Müze Gazhane
The collective work, which is one of Turkey's notable art events in recent years, began the other day at Müze Gazhane. The event brought art lovers together as part of the August 30 Victory Day celebrations.
Evil Eye Bird Mosaic
At the event, which drew strong interest from Istanbul residents, a work by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu is being brought back to life as a four-meter giant mosaic. This meaningful work was named "Evil Eye Bird" (Nazar Kuşu) by IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat.
Work under the Guidance of Artists
The mosaic work is being carried out under the leadership of painter Mustafa Pilevneli. In addition, painting, sculpture, and mosaic artists Mevsim Çağan, Mehmet Anık, Gizem Şanlı, İrem Duman, and Cemre Baysan are guiding the citizens.
To Be Exhibited Permanently
Following the completion of the collective art event, which ends today, the resulting mosaic piece will be preserved to be permanently exhibited in a designated cultural building in the city.
