Canakkale Culture Road Festival Opens Its Doors
The nine-day art and culture marathon held in Çanakkale within the scope of the Turkey Culture Trail Festival has begun.
The Çanakkale Culture Trail Festival, organized for the fifth time this year by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, opened with a ceremony attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı.
Festival Opening Ceremony
The opening program of the organization in Çanakkale, which is the 16th stop of the Turkey Culture Trail Festival, took place at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion Hangar Building. Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı attended the event.
Importance of Historical Heritage
Speaking at the opening, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı emphasized the rich historical heritage stretching from Troy to the Çanakkale Wars and stated that preserving this heritage is of vital importance.
Troy Exhibition in Rome
Gökhan Yazgı stated that over 200 artifacts from 19 museums in Turkey are being exhibited at the exhibition in the Colosseum in Rome, which will remain open until October 18.
Gastronomy and Flavor Points
To introduce Çanakkale's rich gastronomic culture to visitors, 52 Flavor Points were determined by the advisory board. Visitors will be able to experience local flavors such as cheese, sardines, and keşkek.
Evaluations by the Administration
Çanakkale Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Toraman stated that the festival will make very significant contributions to the promotion of the city in the fields of culture, art, and gastronomy.
Cultural Events and Exhibitions
Following the opening program, protocol members visited and examined the Living Heritage Çanakkale Exhibition located at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion.
Free Concerts and Programs
Throughout the festival, which will continue until September 6, artists such as Ceza, Kıraç, Bengü, Oğuzhan Koç, Özcan Deniz, Simge, Sefo, Gökhan Türkmen, and Bayhan will give free concerts.
