Diyarbakır Culture Road Festival Opens Its Doors
Starting with a gastronomy theme, the Diyarbakır Culture Road Festival brings the city's historical and cultural riches to visitors through numerous events.
Beginning with a focus on gastronomy with the participation of Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam and Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu, the Diyarbakır Culture Road Festival will continue for nine days with various events, exhibitions, and concerts.
Start of the Festival and Gastronomy-Focused Program
Stating that the focus of this year's Turkey Culture Road Festival is gastronomy, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam stated that 48 flavor points have been designated in Diyarbakır.
The gastronomy program will be hosted by Bigchefs Co-Founder Gamze Cizreli and Michelin Guide chef Mahir Nazlıcan.
Guest Chefs and Authors
Michelin Guide chef Ömür Akkor, chef Çiğdem Seferoğlu, and Michelin Dubai guide chef Erşan Yılmaz are among the guests of the festival.
Chef Burcu Önal, Gökhan Ali Çamkerten, Emre Murat, along with authors Ebru Erke, Müge Akgün, Emine Tunadan, and Silva Özyerli will take part in the events.
Museum Visits and Exhibitions
Following the opening program, Governor Murat Zorluoğlu, Deputy Minister Serdar Çam, and the accompanying delegation visited the Diyarbakır Archaeology Museum.
The delegation examined the Holy Relics of the Ottoman Empire, Living Heritage: Diyarbakır, and the Turkey Jockey Club painting competition exhibitions at the museum.
Nevruz Park Concerts
The people of Diyarbakır will spend nine music-filled days with free concerts to be held at Nevruz Park within the scope of the festival.
Hakan Altun, Mert Demir, Sefo, Sagopa Kajmer, Poizi, Derya Uluğ, Bengü, Murat Boz, and Fatma Turgut will take the stage in the concert program.
Comprehensive Event Calendar
Many different art branches, from exhibitions to theater and stage performances, are meeting with citizens at various points in Diyarbakır.
Traditional art workshops, talks, and children's events also hold an important place in the festival program.
Special Activities for Children
Little visitors are sharing in the festival enthusiasm with Ethnosport, Children's Village events, and the ASELSAN Children's Festival.
These special areas prepared for children will provide fun moments throughout the festival.
