Emphasis on Access to Art from İBB Kültür AŞ
It was emphasized that cultural and artistic activities should be accessible to everyone, independent of economic conditions.
İBB Kültür AŞ General Manager Osman Cenk Akın stated that access to culture and art is not a privilege dependent on economic conditions, but a fundamental right for everyone.
Emphasis on the Fundamental Right to Access Art
While rising living costs directly affect access to cultural and artistic events, many activities ranging from concerts to theater are becoming difficult to reach for large segments of society. This situation necessitates the development of new approaches so that cultural and artistic activities can be experienced by all segments of society.
Public Responsibility and Spaces
Osman Cenk Akın stated that the greatest responsibility of public institutions is to establish sustainable spaces where every segment of society can meet with culture. In this direction, it was noted that paid and free programs from different disciplines are prepared throughout the year.
It is stated that with the activities carried out at locations such as the Şerefiye Cistern, Digital Experience Center, Taksim Sanat, Panorama 1453 History Museum, Miniatürk, and branches of the Istanbul Bookstore, history and art are transformed into intertwined public living spaces.
