Finalists announced in the Cinema Schools Student Films Competition
Young filmmakers' projects are facing the jury in the competition held within the scope of the 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
The 12 young finalists who made it to the finals in the Cinema Schools Student Films Competition, held within the scope of the 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, have been officially announced.
The Purpose of the Competition
Aiming to bring the works of young filmmakers together with industry professionals, the competition allows students receiving cinema education at universities to showcase their projects.
Intense Application Process
The Cinema Schools Student Films Competition, held for the third time this year, received intense participation from different universities across Turkey.
Within the scope of the competition, a total of 70 projects from 48 universities were evaluated, and as a result of the reviews, 12 projects earned the right to remain in the finals.
Standout Projects
Among the 12 projects making it to the finals is the film "Mandalina", written and directed by Yasin Dağlı from Antalya Belek University.
Young director Yasin Dağlı's film "Mandalina" had previously been deemed worthy of first place in the screenplay category at the Mediterranean Film Production Festival.
Meeting with Professionals
Finalist students will have the opportunity to come together with professional names of the cinema industry in meetings and events to be held throughout the festival.
In these events, students will gain the chance to present their projects, receive opinions and suggestions, and gain industry experience.
