Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall Continues Its Opening with a Comprehensive Cultural Festival
The shopping mall, which opened its doors in September, is bringing a special cultural program to visitors on the occasion of the anniversary of Ankara becoming the capital.
The opening festival of Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall, which started in September and will run until October 30, continues with the Ankara Cultural Days organized on the occasion of the anniversary of Ankara becoming the capital on October 13.
Scope of the Opening Festival
The shopping mall in the Merkez Ankara project, realized through the partnership of Emlak Konut and Pasifik GYO, has been offering a wide program since September, ranging from children's and family events to concerts.
Events held within the scope of the opening festival continue to welcome visitors across many different categories, from exhibitions to gastronomy meetings.
Ankara Cultural Days Have Begun
While a different theme is processed every week at the festival, the city's crafts, traditions, and cultural background are brought to the forefront during this period.
The three-day program, which started ahead of the anniversary of Ankara becoming the capital, opened with events such as a Seymen performance, a jazz concert, and a fashion show.
Sof Fabric and Mohair Fashion Show
Historical sof fabrics produced from the mohair of the Ankara goat were showcased through a special fashion show organized within the scope of the events.
In the program prepared by the Ankara Girls' Technical Education Institute (Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü), 21 pieces of historical sof fabrics were introduced alongside auxiliary mohair weaves.
Exhibition and Art Events
The Doku Ankara Exhibition, which opened its doors to visitors as part of the Cultural Days' rich exhibition program, attracted great interest.
Among the cultural works presented for the appreciation of art lovers in the program was also the Dericizade Ankara Photographs Exhibition.
Architectural and Social Structure of the Mall
Having a leasable area of approximately 50,000 square meters, Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall offers its visitors a wide usage space.
The 600-meter-long open-air shopping street located within the facility brings together stores, restaurants, cafes, and event areas.
