New Cultural Project and Competition for Traditional Marbling Art from Halkbank
The competition launched with the bank's new cultural initiative aims to leave lasting works for the future and support this traditional craft.
Halkbank has launched the Marifet culture and arts program to support and keep alive the traditional Turkish art of marbling. As part of the program's first year, an award-winning marbling competition themed "Family" is being organized.
The Launch of the Marifet Program
Halkbank announced its new program named Marifet to transmit cultural heritage to future generations and increase the visibility of master artisans.
With this comprehensive initiative, it is aimed to encourage traditional Turkish crafts through new productions.
The First Year Theme of the Competition
The theme for the first year of the project, which will address a different subject each year, has been determined as "Family," inspired by the Family and Population Decade.
It was stated that a connection is established between the transfer of patterns on water to paper and the shared heritage across generations within the family.
Awards and Exhibition Process
As a result of evaluations by expert jury members, artists achieving the top three ranks in the competition will be awarded.
In addition, one participant will be deemed worthy of the Selection Committee Special Award, and the award-winning works will be exhibited in a special exhibition.

All citizens of the Republic of Turkey who have turned 18 by the application deadline are eligible to participate in the competition.
No diploma, institutional membership, or mastership certificate (icazet) is required for application; candidates can apply with a single, previously unpublished original work.
