Sanat Dünyamız Days Begins with the Cracked Cocoon Theme
The fourth Sanat Dünyamız Days will be held free of charge at Yapı Kredi Kültür Sanat Loca from October 8 to 11.
The fourth edition of Sanat Dünyamız Days will meet art lovers between October 8 and 11 at Yapı Kredi Kültür Sanat Loca under the theme "Cracked Cocoon." The program will feature exhibitions, workshops, talks, and performances.
Cracked Cocoon Theme
The fourth edition of Sanat Dünyamız Days will be held between October 8 and 11 with the theme "Cracked Cocoon" and will take place at Yapı Kredi Kültür Sanat Loca.
The program will address the range of movement created by routines, repetitions, and habits within daily life, alongside practices of moving together.
Exhibition and Opening Talk
The events will kick off with the opening of Burak Ata's exhibition titled "When I Reify My Most Ordinary Feelings," which can be visited at Loca.
On the opening day, artist Burak Ata will hold a talk on the exhibition with Sanat Dünyamız magazine editor Fisun Yalçınkaya.
Fanzine and Art Talks
A workshop titled "This Is Not a Sanat Dünyamız" will be held under the coordination of Vardal Caniş, where participants will prepare their own fanzines.
A talk titled "Jumping Up and Down: Art and Repetition," examining the concept of repetition in art and education, will take place with the participation of Burak Delier and Şive Neşe Baydar.
Workshops and Urban Space
A sculpture workshop inspired by relationships in nature by İris Ergül and a cocoon-making workshop using fabrics by Şafak Şule Kemancı will be held.
Architect and academic Yağmur Yıldırım will deliver a speech addressing the relationship of urban spaces with social memory and common living.
Performances and Closing
On the final day of the program, İris Ergül and Gerda Berna Örter will perform "Lifeblood," which explores the concepts of life and transformation.
Merve Morkoç's performance addressing unemployment and Burak Ata's show "Glass Rally" will meet the audience.
Participation Information
All events at the fourth Sanat Dünyamız Days, prepared by Fisun Yalçınkaya and Ahsen Erdoğan, will be free and open to everyone.
However, some workshops within the program will be held with reservations and limited participant capacities.
