While August 30 Victory Day is celebrated with various concerts and events across Istanbul, important names and productions from the music and cinema worlds are preparing to meet art lovers in different cities of Turkey throughout September.
Victory Day Enthusiasm in Istanbul
August 30 Victory Day is celebrated in Istanbul with free concerts and events held at various points of the city. Names such as Athena, Yeni Türkü, Emre Altuğ, and Melek Mosso take the stage in programs lasting throughout the day.
These concerts, held at Kalamış Atatürk Park, Müze Gazhane, and various squares of the city, offer Istanbul residents the opportunity to experience the holiday enthusiasm outdoors and free of charge.
Covent Garden Sinfonietta in Bodrum
Covent Garden Sinfonietta, consisting of elite musicians from London's Royal Opera House, will give their first concerts in Turkey on September 4 and 5 at the Bodrum Castle North Moat.
The orchestra, conducted by Maestro Philippe Chizhevsky, will be accompanied by pianist Adam Gutseriev and cellist Dali Gutserieva as soloists, and prominent classical music works will be performed.
Miles Kane on the Rock'n Park Stage
Miles Kane, one of the prominent names of the British rock scene, will meet music lovers as part of Rock'n Park Istanbul to be held at Life Park on September 12 and 13.
