The Grape Harvest Festival, held for the fourteenth time this year in Tekirdağ, was celebrated with great enthusiasm with the participation of protocol members and many citizens.

The fourteenth Grape Harvest Festival, organized in cooperation with the Tekirdağ Süleymanpaşa Municipality and the Directorate of Viticulture Research Institute, attracted great interest. Many bureaucrats, institution directors, and citizens attended the event held in the institute's garden.

Opening Program and Performances

The festival program, which began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, continued with colorful folklore performances by the folk dance team. Participants had the opportunity to examine different grape varieties exhibited in the area.

Reward for Producers' Efforts

Mehmet Ali Kiracı, Director of the Viticulture Research Institute, emphasized that the grape harvest period is one of the most valuable days when the reward for a year's effort is received. Kiracı touched upon the importance of grapes for human health and the food industry.

Carrying Cultural Heritage to the Future

Süleymanpaşa Mayor Volkan Nallar expressed their pride in carrying Tekirdağ's deep-rooted viticulture culture and heritage into the future. Nallar wished the producers a fruitful and highly profitable season.

Grape Harvesting Took Place in the Vineyards

Following the speeches, protocol members and citizens entered the vineyards and hand-picked the first bunches of the year. Colorful and pleasant scenes emerged during the harvest straight from the vine.
