The Life of Nâzım Hikmet is Exhibited at the Izmir International Fair
"ROMANTICA / The Voyage of a Lifetime", one of the most comprehensive exhibitions to date on master poet Nâzım Hikmet, is preparing to meet art lovers in Izmir.
Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, a comprehensive exhibition on the life of Nâzım Hikmet is opening its doors as part of the 95th Izmir International Fair.
Fair and Exhibition Dates
The 95th Izmir International Fair, organized by İZFAŞ under the host of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, will take place at Kültürpark. The exhibition, produced by Folkart within the scope of the fair, can be visited at the Atlas Pavilion.
Large Exhibition Area
Curated by M. Melih Güneş and designed by Ömer Durmaz, the organization will be set up in a large area with numerous halls. The exhibition will handle the poet's life with a multi-layered narrative rather than a classical chronology.
Rich Archive and Works
Hundreds of documents, manuscripts, and personal belongings gathered from various institutions, archives, and collections in Turkey and abroad are being exhibited. The Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, along with the archives of various foundations, have been opened for this event.
Special Works and Replica Room
In addition to paintings made by the poet himself, the exhibition features the archive of Vera Tulyakova Hikmet and selections from many artists. Furthermore, a replica of Nâzım Hikmet's study containing his personal belongings is also presented to the appreciation of visitors.
