Torbalı Autumn Book Days begins with 104 guests
Organized at the Ertan Ünver Millet Park, the event will bring together many figures in honor of the 104th anniversary of the city's liberation.
Organized for the second time by the Torbalı Municipality, the Torbalı Autumn Book Days will open its doors at the Ertan Ünver Millet Park between August 31 and September 6, 2026. Prof. Dr. Emre Kongar will be the guest of honor at the event, which will feature 104 guests in dedication to the 104th anniversary of the city's liberation.

Organized with the theme "In the Heart of History, On the Trail of Wisdom," 104 guests will meet with book lovers in dedication to the 104th anniversary of the city's liberation.
Rich Program and Guest of Honor
The guest of honor for the 2nd Torbalı Autumn Book Days will be sociologist, journalist, and author Prof. Dr. Emre Kongar.
Kongar will meet with book lovers on the first day of the event with his talk titled "The Historical Significance of the Atatürk Republic."
Participating Names and Topics
The program will feature many prominent figures such as Mine Söğüt, Yavuz Oğhan, Akif Beki, Saygı Öztürk, Kerem Altıparmak, Cemil Kılıç, and Yılmaz Aslantürk.
In addition to literature, topics such as history, journalism, health, artificial intelligence, and social issues will be comprehensively discussed at the event.
Metropolis and Local History
The Metropolis Ancient City, which sheds light on Torbalı's nearly two-thousand-year history, will also be one of the major focus points of the program.
Prof. Dr. Recep Meriç, the first head of the Metropolis excavation works, and historian Dr. Yasin Kayış will discuss the memory of Torbalı.
Children and Exhibitions
Special talks for children, age-specific workshops, children's theater, animations, and various educational activities will be organized.
Additionally, the Peace with Nature International Cartoon Exhibition, a hands-on cartoon workshop, and an artificial intelligence workshop will be offered to visitors.
Transportation and Visitor Information
The event can be visited every day between 18:00 and 00:00 at the Ertan Ünver Millet Park.
Free ring services for transportation will be provided from the Torbalı İZBAŞ Transfer Point and the Ayrancılar Square.
