Ümraniye Municipality Started the 2026-2027 Culture and Art Season with an Awards Ceremony

Ümraniye Municipality opened the 2026-2027 Culture and Art Season with enthusiastic participation through the 22nd Traditional Painting, Story, and Poetry Competitions Awards Ceremony.
Details of the Ceremony
The program held at Ümraniye Crowne Plaza began with a musical performance by pianist Tuluyhan Uğurlu.
Many prominent figures from the worlds of art, politics, and civil society came together at the opening ceremony.
Participating Protocol
Hosted by Ümraniye Mayor İsmet Yıldırım, the ceremony saw wide participation from protocol and bureaucracy.
AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Coşkun Yılmaz also took part in the event.
Lifetime Respect Awards
Within the scope of the culture and art season opening program, figures who have labored in different fields of art were honored.
Nurettin Durman in the poetry category, Necip Tosun in the story category, and İlhami Atalay in the painting category were deemed worthy of the lifetime respect award.
Competition Rankings
While Fatma Kılıç achieved first place in the painting competition, those who ranked in the story and poetry categories were also announced.
The special painting exhibition organized within the framework of the season opening also saw great interest from participants and art lovers.
