Victory Days Gathering Takes Place at Topkapı Kaleiçi Square

On the fifth evening of the Days of Victory of a Nation implemented by Fatih Municipality, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and the accompanying delegation visited the event areas at Topkapı Kaleiçi Square and came together with the citizens.

Protocol's Visit to the Square

The gathering, hosted by Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan, was attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Presidential Board of Culture and Arts Policies Deputy Chairman İskender Pala, Fatih District Governor Cafer Sarılı, and District Police Chief Osman Tınmazol.

The guests toured the history, culture, and experience areas spread throughout Topkapı Kaleiçi Square together and closely examined the thematic sections in the square.

Historical and Thematic Areas

The delegation visited different points of the square, ranging from the Çanakkale Museum to nomad tents, from the Square Bazaar to archery and horseback riding areas.

During the visit, reenactments vividly reflecting different periods of history were followed, and areas prepared for children and youth were also inspected.

Cultural Events and Performances

Within the scope of the program shaped around the Battle of Malazgirt and the Great Offensive, various performances were presented.

Along with Zeybek, Horon, and Sword-Shield dances, the Kahoot Quiz Competition titled "A Nation Stands Up" and the reenactment of "Fatih Enters the City from Topkapı" were carried out.

Concert and Schedule

The music program of the fifth day of the events was colored with the "Bir Kapıdan Çağlara" concert, offering a musical feast to the participants.

These special celebration programs, keeping the spirit of the Battle of Malazgirt and the Great Offensive alive, will continue uninterruptedly until August 30 Victory Day.
