Accommodation facilities occupancy rate reached 72.67 percent in August
According to data shared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the average occupancy rates in hotels and accommodation facilities for the eight-month period of the year have become clear.
According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the occupancy rate of accommodation facilities in August reached 72.67 percent. The total occupancy rate for the January-August period was recorded as 47.04 percent.
August occupancy data
The occupancy rate in licensed and simple-certified accommodation facilities was 72.67 percent in August. While this rate showed an increase compared to the same month of the previous year, it remained behind the levels of previous years.
July visitor distribution
In July, the occupancy rate originating from foreign visitors was recorded as 39.82 percent, and the occupancy rate originating from domestic visitors was 28.14 percent. Thus, total occupancy in July reached the level of 67.96 percent.
Accommodation and overnight stay statistics
While a total of 14 million 336 thousand 497 arrivals were made to accommodation facilities in July, the total number of overnight stays was 39 million 131 thousand 166. The average length of stay in this period was calculated as 2.73 days.
Eight-month cumulative data
In the January-August period, the total occupancy rate in accommodation facilities was 47.04 percent. The foreign visitor-sourced occupancy for this period was 26.82 percent, while the domestic visitor-sourced occupancy was 20.22 percent.
Total activity in the first eight months of the year
In the first eight months of the year, a total of 71 million 992 thousand 115 arrivals were recorded at the facilities, while the number of overnight stays amounted to 181 million 556 thousand 879. The average length of stay in the mentioned eight-month period was recorded as 2.52 days.
