Industrial Areas Master Plan Launched
The Ministry of Industry and Technology is carrying out a comprehensive transformation process to increase Turkey's production capacity and reduce regional concentration in industry. Within this scope, the Industrial Areas Master Plan aims to spread the production infrastructure to Anatolia.
New Investment Areas on the Samsun-Mersin Line
Within the framework of the first phase of the Master Plan, 17 new investment areas covering approximately 59,500 hectares across 13 provinces on the Samsun-Mersin line have been identified. Designed as mega industrial zones, these areas will be transformed into smart and green production bases with completed infrastructure and social amenities.
Growing Targets in Planned Industrial Areas
As a result of the ongoing Master Plan studies, the nationwide planned industrial areas are targeted to be increased from 160,000 hectares to 350,000 hectares by 2030. The new industrial zones will also be supported by various transportation and logistics investments.
Industrial Development Corridors Being Established
Through the Mersin-Şırnak, Trabzon-Şırnak, and Sivas-Iğdır industrial development corridors, the new industrial zones will be ensured to benefit from trade opportunities at the highest level. In the new model, energy, logistics, technology, R&D, and human resources will meet at the same center.
Artificial Intelligence Growth Zones and Centers of Excellence
Within the scope of the 2026-2030 Turkey Artificial Intelligence Action Plan, it is planned to establish artificial intelligence growth zones. Regional centers of excellence will also be implemented to ensure that artificial intelligence infrastructure is not limited to large companies.
