Borsa Istanbul BIST 100 index started the day with an increase

The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.24 percent increase at 14,646.48 points.

Opening Values of the BIST 100 Index

Following a buying-heavy trajectory yesterday, the BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul had completed the day with a 0.95 percent gain at 14,610.92 points.

In the initial transactions of the day, the index rose by 35.56 points and 0.24 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 14,646.48 points.

Status of Sector Indices

The banking index gained 0.92 percent in value, while the holding index started the day with a 0.62 percent loss in value.

Among sector indices, sports was the top gainer with 3.34 percent, while the IT sector declined the most with 2.13 percent.

Outlook of Global Markets

Global markets entered a search for direction between rising inflation concerns in the US and technology optimism supported by US chipmaker Nvidia's better-than-expected financial statements.

Data to be Monitored by the Markets

Analysts stated that weekly money and bank statistics will be monitored domestically today.

Abroad, the US foreign trade balance, wholesale inventories, and initial jobless claims are in the focus of investors.

Technical Levels and Resistance Points

Experts stated that technically, 14,700 and 14,800 points are in the position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.

It was noted that in possible pullbacks, the 14,500 and 14,400 point levels will be monitored as support.
