Busy autumn agenda and expectations for the Turkish economy

Turkey faces a busy economic agenda in the coming period, featuring growth, export, and inflation data, as well as the Medium-Term Program (MTP).
Second-quarter growth data to be announced
The Gross Domestic Product figures for the April-June period, which are in the focus of the markets, will be announced to the public by TUIK, and labor force data will also be shared on the same day.
Foreign trade and inflation figures
Provisional foreign trade data for August will be announced by the Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Exporters Assembly, while TUIK will announce the August inflation figures on the same day.
Central Bank interest rate decision awaited
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will hold its sixth meeting of the year to announce its interest rate decision, after which balance of payments data will be shared.
Medium-Term Program and budget calendar
While the details of the MTP, which serves as the 3-year roadmap for the Turkish economy, are being followed, the budget proposal is projected to be submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly by October.
