Credit Support Provided to Agricultural Producers Reaches 399 Billion Liras
Financing was provided to hundreds of producers within the framework of supports introduced to reduce financing costs.
Within the scope of Treasury interest and profit share-supported loans implemented to reduce the financing costs of producers in the agricultural sector, a total of 399 billion liras in loans was disbursed to 724 thousand producers as of the end of June 2026.
Distribution of Supports Through Institutions
Agricultural-supported loans carried out by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance are delivered to farmers and producers through Ziraat Bank, Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, and Ziraat Participation Bank.
Thanks to the applied system, producers gain the opportunity to meet their financing needs under more favorable conditions.
Interest and Profit Share Rates
In the credit transactions in question, between 25 percent and 100 percent of the interest or profit share is covered directly by the state.
In the 2024-2026 period, the state's average coverage rate is applied as 70 percent within the upper limits determined for 28 different production subjects.
Special Discount Criteria and Additional Advantages
Special discount criteria are put into effect in certain designated production areas, offering additional opportunities to producers.
Agricultural producers meeting these criteria can benefit from additional discount advantages in addition to standard interest discounts.
Total Credit Volume and Balance Status
In addition to the supported credit application, the total credit volume in the agricultural sector continues to remain at high levels.
According to Ministry data, approximately 1.2 million agricultural producers currently have a total credit balance of 955 billion liras.
