Within the scope of the Turkey Plastic Waste Workshop led by the Zero Waste Foundation, the plastic cycle and sectoral transformation were discussed.

Topics Addressed at the Workshop

National policies regarding the plastic cycle were evaluated at the workshop organized by the Zero Waste Foundation. Sectoral transformation, investment and financing needs, and inter-institutional cooperation were discussed in detail during the session.

Zero Waste Vision and the COP31 Process

The Zero Waste Vision, growing under the leadership of Emine Erdoğan, forms a strong foundation in Turkey's environmental policies. The COP31 process to be hosted by Turkey is of great importance in terms of strengthening the circular economy.

Participation of Deputy Ministers

The session, moderated by Burak Demiralp, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, was attended by deputy ministers of relevant ministries. All stages of the plastic cycle were comprehensively evaluated at the meeting.

Future Goals and Final Report

The opinions obtained from the session are targeted to be reflected in the Turkey Plastic Cycle Final Report. The study aims to strengthen the circular economy in line with the 2053 Turkey Plastic Vision.
