e-Government era in rental agreements is becoming widespread and mandatory status is planned

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance continues its efforts to securely prepare rental agreements via the e-Government Gateway, and the processes are planned to be made mandatory.

Phases of the service

The first phase of the service, initiated to enable tenants and landlords to prepare their agreements via e-Government, was put into practice on November 4, 2024.

The second phase was put into operation on May 9, 2025, providing real estate consultants and authorized persons with the opportunity to prepare agreements.

Error correction and updating

The agreement prepared by the property owner is submitted for approval by the tenant and the guarantor, if any, via e-Government.

In approved agreements, material errors can be corrected and contact information as well as the rental amount can be updated within 15 days.

Transparency and usage

The application aims to prevent potential grievances, increase transparency, and reduce bureaucracy.

To date, 72,581 rental agreements have been approved across all 81 provinces.

Evaluations by Minister Şimşek

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that the application has been designed in a way that does not incur additional costs.

Şimşek invited citizens to conduct transactions independently of location and in a secure manner via the e-Government Gateway.
