Economy Coordination Board Convened: New Support Steps for Manufacturing, Exports, and Tourism

In its seventh meeting of 2026, the Economy Coordination Board addressed macroeconomic developments and decided on comprehensive new financing and support packages for the industrial, export, and tourism sectors.

Meeting under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, the Economy Coordination Board held its seventh meeting of 2026 to evaluate economic indicators and announced new financial support steps for various sectors.

The meeting, held under the leadership of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, was attended by relevant ministers, party representatives, the Head of Strategy and Budget, the Head of Communications, and the Governor of the Central Bank.

In the official statement made after the meeting, it was emphasized that a significant improvement had been recorded in macroeconomic indicators, the disinflation process was continuing, and the budget deficit was progressing in line with targets.

Sectoral Financing and Support Packages

While the premium support provided per employee in the manufacturing industry was raised to 3,500 TL, the daily rediscount credit limit for exporters was increased from 4.5 billion TL to 5 billion TL.

The total limit of the Advance Credit upon Investment Commitment Program reached 750 billion TL, and new credit support amounting to 250 billion TL was provided for the manufacturing industry. Additionally, an extra 60 billion TL in financing opportunities was provided to the tourism sector with a Treasury guarantee.

Medium-Term Program Efforts

It was also reported at the meeting that preparations for the Medium-Term Program (MTP) covering the years 2027-2029 are continuing with a transparent and participatory approach.
